Repeatable? this has been mentioned to me once before, could be a glitch tho.
Summary:various drops not recognised by p-merchent
After taking on some middling areas of NFM with a small group, my PC volunteered to sell off the craftable potions & reagents & to split the coin. The following items were not recognised by Piwi despite multiple attempts to stack them. They were dropped into the merch in chest mode, then removed again, lines checked for limits, attempted to sell again, dropped onto another p-merch, tried again.. This happened to about half the items bought in to sell, list follows:
MacArthur's Poultice
Brownsmoke seeds
Garnet
Glowmoss Distillate
Elixer of Restoration
Essence of Evergreen
Golden Distillate
Elixer of Leadership
Magi's Concoction
Potion of Fire
Potion of Cat's Grace
I have a suspicion this only affects the drops from chests, many of which are un-identified.
I'd have to look at the script for flagging items for cleanup, but it may run on a schedule, so how long the items have been on the ground may not matter here.
Nope, i am certain that at least 90% of that list came from chests. Some of the stuff i was in a hurry & so dropped it into bags without first ID'ing it. Not sure if that would make any difference.. have done that before with no probs. I also checked for stolen tags: only the brownsmokes is so marked (as per usual).
The stuff was laid out after the trip for a little while, but the reagents were the first to be picked up. This is the only time the junk spent a few minutes on the ground, but it was only long enough for a few PCs to select a couple of useful items, & then it was all scooped back up again.
When i have time, i'll go empty some gnoll chests & see if i can recreate this problem.
Did these items spend any considerable time on the ground? If so, they may have been tagged by the cleanup script for deletion, which would change their hash, which would make them incompatible with a p-merchant's version of the same item.
